The Office of the Senior Special
Assistant to the President on Public Affairs has refuted online report that Dr,
Doyin Okupe has identified Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari as the main sponsor of the
Boko Haram group.

A statement released on Monday, described the
story as false and a ploy by some faceless individuals bent on tarnishing the
image of Dr. Okupe as well as cause disaffection in the country.
The Senior
Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, therefore advised
journalists to always crosscheck with the presidency before going to press as Dr
Okupe is always ready to volunteer information.
He
urged Nigerians to disregard the fictitious report, stressing that Dr. Okupe has
never identify the former Head of State as a sponsor of Boko Haram
