NIGERIAN DRUG AGENCY ARRESTS MAN WITH ILLICIT DRUG IN LAGOS



The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA) has arrested a patent medicine dealer for allegedly attempting to smuggle over forty kilogrammes of methamphetamine to South Africa. NDLEA Spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju, said the suspects attempted to smuggle the drugs on board of a South African Airline flight, when it was detected by its officials at the cargo section, Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos. 

Mr Ofoyeju further said that a total of 41 parcels of the methamphetamine were hidden inside grind melon packed with cosmetics and provisions. He said the suspect's childhood friend, who lived in South Africa, allegedly four hundred and fifty thousand naira to the suspect to acquire the goods.
