MEDICAL TRIP TO INDIA: KADUNA COURT RULES ON ELZAKZAKY'S APPLICATION TOMORROW


A Kaduna State High Court presided over by Justice D.H. Khobo, will tomorrow, Thursday entertain the application of the leader of Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Ibrahim El-Zazaky and wife, Zinat, seeking to travel to India for medical attention.

The IMN leader is being prosecuted for alleged culpable homicide, unlawful assembly and disruption of public peace among other charges.


Kaduna State Director of Public Prosecution, Dari Bayero announced this to correspondents in Kaduna on Wednesday.

You will recall that Justice Gideon Kurada, had on April 25, adjourned El-Zakzaky’s trial indefinitely.

This is to enable the judge serve on the panel of the Presidential and National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal in Yobe.

Before the indefinite adjournment, the court had on January 22nd, ordered the Kaduna State Government to avail Elzakzaky and his wife Zinat, access to medical care.
