HOUSE OF REPS DIRECTS IGP, DSS TO IMMEDIATELY SEAL EDO HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY.

Nigeria's House of Representatives has directed the Inspector General of Police and the Director of State Services to immediately shut down the Edo State House of Assembly.

Issuing the directives today at plenary, the House equally ordered Governor Godwin Obaseki to issue fresh proclamation within a week for the reconstitution of the assembly and publish same in a national newspaper.

The decision was taken after the House of Reps adhoc committee investigated the crisis rocking the Edo State House.
