120 MILLION NIGERIANS LACK ELECTRICITY--GOVT.



The Federal Government has regretted that despite various efforts being put into stabilizing the power sector; about 120 million Nigerians are still in darkness.
Minister of State for Power, Zaynab Kuchi, who disclosed this after Federal Executive Council meeting, said for the entire 160 million Nigerians to enjoy stable electricity supply, Nigeria must look in the direction of Independent Power Projects. The minister said the future of power generation and supply in the country rests with the IPPs and Public-Private Partnership. Nigeria's Federal Executive Council meeting holds every Wednesday.
