KANO STATE GOVT. CONSIDERS RELIGIOUS REGULATION BILL




Kano State Government has promised to sponsor a “preaching regulation bill” at the state house of assembly.
This is to guide religious leaders against inciting utterances that capable of affecting the relative peace currently in the State.
Governor, Umar Ganduje announced this yesterday (Monday) while commissioning the ultra modern building erected for the State lawmakers.


Gov. Ganduje said when operational, the “preaching regulation bill” would ensure that all religious preachers get a certificate of approval with set rules and regulations from the State Government, before exercising their religious activities in Kano State.


According to him, the aim was to prevent any act that could instigate a religious crisis or posing security threat in Kano and its environs.
