In sports, Tottenham have sacked manager
Andre Villas-Boas in the wake of the club's 5-0 thrashing by Liverpool.
The
defeat by the Reds yesterday was the club's worst at White Hart Lane in 16
years and left Spurs seventh in the Premier League.
Thirty-six
year old Villas-Boas, took over at Tottenham in July 2012.
A statement published today by the club said the
decision was by mutual consent and in the interests of all parties.
